330 Days Until to the Open Road

There are only 330 days until our family hits the open road for a full 1-year adventure of full-time RVing.

The picture above was our family’s first travel trailer. When we bought it our son was brand new, about 6 months old. My wife and I enjoyed tent camping. With a newborn, tent camping wasn’t feasible so we decided to give this whole ‘RVing’ thing a try — little did we know we’d get addicted — and fast.

Fast forward 9 years. We’ve owned 5 campers of all shapes and sizes. Our most recent which we plan on using for our big trip gets picked up this Friday from Pikes Peak RV in Colorado Springs.

The Open Road RVing Adventure Awaits!

My wife and I decided we wanted to try this full-time RVing thing about 6 years ago. We purchased a Kodiak 300bhsl at that time. Just prior to that I sold my internet marketing business and had some cash to sit on and some decent residual income – the opportunity was perfect. That was until I decided to buy another business which put an end to our plans – at least, then.

Fast forward to today. I own a thriving online marketing business in Denver, Colorado called Altitude Agency. We have a physical office located near the Denver Tech Center in Denver, Colorado where we house some amazing team members.

In addition to Altitude Agency, I have a few other businesses. I own CRCO – Castle Rock, CO a small online magazine that’s opening up a retail shop and an event center early next year, a boutique advertising agency, several online retail shops as well as serve as the Digital Media Director for Colorado-based CBD Oil manufacture, NuLeaf Naturals.

Getting organized and deciding what I want to do while on the open road is one thing, but also figuring out homeschooling, etc is another. Lucky for me, my wife was a former teacher so we’re hoping the kids adapt to the idea of mom being their teacher during the 2020-2021 school year where our son will be going into 5th grade and daughter into 2nd grade.

As we prepare here are some major considerations for us.

  1. Find the PERFECT RV for our family.
  2. Consolidate & Organize Business Ventures
  3. Get ready for homeschooling including curriculum etc.
  4. What do we do with our house?

We’re jumping into this whole full-time RVing with no experience at all. Whether you’re self-employed and are trying to figure out how you can potentially go full-time, you have a flexible online job, or a job that has you tied to your desk, hopefully, we can all learn a few things together on how we can all live the American dream and explore the open road.
